Director's Statement
It’s hard to live in a big city. It’s hard to find your voice when you’re drowning in a sea of noise from millions of people desperately trying to claw their way to the top.
It’s a struggle to keep your head above water when people constantly try to take advantage of you at every turn, use you then dump you, and turn a deaf ear on your dreams.
And all too often we are alone on this journey – our phone calls go unanswered, emails ignored, and texts float away into nothingness. All we are left with is us, and sometimes we are not good enough for ourselves. How do we find the strength to carry on? Where do we go to find our sense of self-worth? Is there anyone out there who will listen to our hearts?
This is the story of Fuzzy, the journey of a young woman who wakes up to a world flipped completely upside down, and her entire life unraveling. Her journey, like many of our own, is one of doubt, uncertainty, and resilience.
Sometimes it takes the help of a special friend to rescue us from the darkness. A friend who knows the way, who can teach us to be strong and thrive on our own. For some, this special friend is Fuzzy.
